Promoting the Great Game of Golf for Urban Communities in St. Louis Since 1972

Par or Better Golf Club was established in 1972, the founding members are William Martin, Sidney Whitfield, Lloyd Kimbrough, John Evans, Floyd Kimbrough and Albert Lee. Also, the club would like to honor Harold Murphy and Charlie Johnson as early Charter Members. Over the years the Par or Better has grown from a small group of golfers dividing skins under a tree in Frank Molten State Pack, to a 43-member Golf-Club. Members are active in the community sponsoring, a Junior Golf Program through the Monsanto YMCA establishing a scholarship and through the St. Louis Community College and contributing to the Truman Restorative Center for the Elderly. The Club seeks to attract like-minded individuals who believe in "the game" and its potential to model.
